Meanwhile The Zamfara State Deputy Governor, Barr.Mahadi Aliyu Gusau while speaking Said” This is surely a welcome development For zamfara state as We all witness this today I am very pleased and happy by the recent improvement in Security for my Dear state zamfara,the Deputy governor also addressed the security situation affecting his state and the dimensions which the terrorists are carrying out attacks on innocent citizens were discussed has finally come to an End”.

In a statement by Mutawalle’s Director General of media and public enlightenment, Yusuf Idris Gusau said the duo also agreed to share genuine intelligence in order to maintain the firm stance in dealing with those fomenting troubles and undermining government efforts of restoring peace and maintenance of security of citizens lives and properties.

The governors also agreed to deal decisively with anybody found undermining their efforts of peace building especially from state as well as non-state actors.

He noted the roles of traditional institutions in the restoration of peace and agreed to work closely with the traditional rulers but noted the unpleasant attitude of some traditional rulers who allow themselves to be used by mischief makers to thwart the efforts of the government and security operatives by refusing to provide intelligence information that would lead to the arrest of criminals in their domains.
